[Context: This poem came to me on a cloudy windy cold day outside of Moab, as I was roaming in one of those stunningly red, deep canyon chasms. That morning, I had asked fervently for a poem, since I haven’t been in the consciousness to channel one in some weeks. I love the way this poem alternates between Earth calling out us humans, and Her cry to return to her power love and wisdom.]
EARTH SPEAKS:
Can you sense the astonishing rays of mother-of-pearl I send through
- every seemingly dull rock,
- worm castings,
- human bone marrow.
Would that I could use these same rays to shatter your ignorance, Oh Ye:
- who puke up my guts in your fracking monstrosities;
- trample my luminous skin with condominiums;
- dump poisons and plastics through my veins.
Oh, that you would come inside me, again melt into my loving embrace:
- awaken to my overflowing nipples;
- journey into my wombs, everywhere;
- penetrate me with your gush of love juices.
Alas, my rays cannot penetrate such density, stupidity, such arrogance:
- The only animal that fouls its own nest;
- The only species expert in child abuse;
- the only creatures to consume your way into Eco-Death.
Yet, perhaps, deep in your bones, may you know your true home as
- a consciousness as 360-degree spherical, as my hummingbird;
- brain neurons flashing continous love, as my lightning showers;
- your children riding on my humpback whales, bareback:
If, if, if ….
