WHAT’S IN THIS POST FOR YOU:

By reading my account of exploring the energetic experiences of joy and calm, you will gain futher insight into your own inner landscape of emotions and gain a greater ability to feel the multitudes that you are.

SUMMARY & CONTEXT:

Below I describe an inner adventure I’ve been traversing…discovering that joy and calm can coexist in the same moment in my experience.

The purpose of this post is to share my account and discuss how we may unify these experiences, how we may hold our seemingly different parts together in unity.

THE POST:

I am unifying…joy and calm.

I had a BFO (blinding flash of the obvious) yesterday — that my brain has polarized joy and calmness. Ie, I can’t be feeling both at the same time, because they must be “opposites.”

This is now obviously not true, as I bring it to consciousness, but I realize my conditioning on this runs deep.

I realized this morning in my meditation that not only was my thought and Being “spacious”, but that I FELT (sensed, embodied) “spacious.” Which felt very calm. and the Joy was riding on that, like beautiful clouds over the Earth. With a hint of poignancy tinged at the edge.

What is occurring to me this morning is about the FRUITS of many years of psycho spiritual practice. …

That I can mostly experience a foundational feeling of equanimity, when External situations in three-dimensional life might be raw, unknown, or vulnerable.

And on the other hand, experience a foundational feeling of quiet joy, when external situations are flowing along. ……

I credit this to the power of mindfulness and embodiment practices over many years, rather then credited to me myself and I.

NOW FOR YOUR TURN…

Have you ever experienced two or more emotional states at the same time? If so which ones? How do you hold both of them in your awareness? Which emotional states are you curious about exploring together?

You have two options:

1. Comment Below: I’d love for you to share with our lovely, conscious community your own experience with unifying these same parts … or other seeming opposites you are unifying in the comments below.

2. Join Our Facebook Group and Share Your Comment There: You are also welcome to share your answer in our thriving Facebook community, The Unifying Way Community, where we all share what we’re unifying and discuss the further deepening of this practice. We’d love your presence in the group.

Thanks,

Freddy
